I have been neglecting my blog for far too long - pressure of retirement I guess.
But we have been very busy with a new kitchen extension and have also acquired
two French Morrans, Hilda and Edna, who are a couple of free range chickens.
They settled in very quickly and have been laying superb eggs from day one.
I have not written a poem in their honour - yet, but will get round to it in due course.

I am partial to the little self talk sounds they make as they wander around.
Flattering as it is, I can't say that I recognise you from the picture (with Penponds being the buzzing metropolis that it is, perhaps that's no great surprise?!... and I've only lived here for 23 short years...) but feel compelled to say that I like your style... Keep it up - I'm sure there's gold in them thar hills...
